I hit an all time low last night when I found myself at the grocery store buying nothing but sushi and some good ol' Ben & Jerry's (coffee toffee crunch is my jam). Here's how the conversation went between me and the check-out girl:
her: did you find everything okay?
me: yep! sure did!
her: you can't beat sushi and ice cream!
her: you can't beat sushi and ice cream!
me: well, the heart wants what the heart wants!
Yep, face palm moment right there. Not the part where I was buying the most unhealthy dinner possible, or the awkward conversation with the girl working there, but the fact that the teenage kid next to me started cracking up while sympathetically agreeing with me... face. palm.
