Milkmaid Braid

So this one day, I decided to be a little daring with my hair (which is amazing, because I'm pretty much the most boring person when it comes to my hair) and try out a milkmaid braid. I learned my lesson, because I got multiple comments, one of those including my husband, about how I looked like Princess Lea from Star Wars. This would've been okay if they were saying it as a compliment. Okay, maybe some were, but my husband sure wasn't. Maybe next time I'll try doing the braids a little looser and see if that makes a difference, but we'll see. I've seen this hair style look SO cute on lots of other girls, but maybe this one just isn't for me, haha!

Happy Friday, friends! Hope you all have some fun plans for the weekend! I'll be carb-loading today, for tomorrow, I will be running 13.1 miles! Bright and early might I add, AND there's a 60% chance of rain, so that's always fun. For those of you running in the Ogden Marathon tomorrow, be sure to look out for me! I'll be the one running REALLY slow and just enjoying the scenery. Haha. I'm so excited to just be running along with my sister, who will be dragging me across the finish line. ;)

  1. Oh, you are BRAVE girl! I could never do a half marathon! I always think it sounds fun but I know I'd never make it! Good luck tomorrow, just have fun :)
I think milkmaid braids are definitely for you! You look gorgeous, I love how you left a little hair out in the front. I always do that too and my Hubby called it "jewish sideburns" one time. Haha! Boys. And I LOVE the skirt, I knew it was from Target. I totally saw these there and loved them but didn't get one for some reason...now I really want one again!

    1. I would barely call it brave, just crazy! Haha. But jewish sideburns?! That is hilarious. Tell your hubby that's a good one! You need to go get the skirt! I had the hardest time deciding which color I wanted! But I love it! It's perfect for summer.
