Tie-Dye & Denim

2.25.2013

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. Were any of you watching the Oscars last night?! Those A-list celebrities definitely brought their A-game and I was so impressed. Even though I loved Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook, I thought for sure Jessica Chastain had it in the bag. I mean, come on. She's flawless, and was SO incredibly amazing in Zero Dark Thirty. Also, was anyone else swooning over Joseph Gordon-Levitt?? Holy cow, I don't know what it is about him, but he makes my heart melt--and the fact that he was singing and dancing made it melt even more.
Anyway, enough with all my Oscars stuff. Today, I decided to be a little edgy. I found this tie-dye top at Target on the 70% off rack, and well, since I'm a sucker for sales, I bought it--without even knowing what the heck I was going to wear it with. Lately, I've seen a lot of celebrities pairing different denim colors together, and it ends up looking really good, so I thought I'd give it a try. I can't even remember the last time I wore actual denim jeans, so this is pretty crazy right now. I was only able to snap a few shots today, because well, as you can see in one of my pictures below, the snow in my backyard is a joke. I literally kept falling into snow piles. After I shoveled it and everything, I found out that underneath was just a sheet of ice. I was slipping and sliding everywhere, and it just wasn't pretty.
Now might be a good time to remind you, I know my outfits aren't something that everyone would wear. Everyone has their own unique styles. I'm just here to hopefully inspire you to branch out of your norm or even give you different outfit ideas. So, on that note, let's get to it.

  1. it's come to my attention that not only is someone doing something as unconscionable as creating a fake email that links to my wife's blog, but that people here, not only don't recognize that it's fake, but sink to equally as low of a level by saying those nasty things mentioned above. i married the sweetest, most wonderful kind hearted girl, who would never say anything like that. you, and others, including a close friend of my wife amber, have received comment's from this FAKE amber. jodi, i fully expect you to say something to your readers who would say such nasty things about a person. amber has personally apologized to you, and has apologize to her other close friend who received a similar message from this FAKE amber, but unfortunately, the types of things that your readers said above about my sweet wife, and me, go too far. how dare you reese, for saying such things, and for the anonymous comment above? really brave insulting someone anonymously. if you'd like i'll give you my phone number and you can come out of the dark closet and be honest with how terrible of a person you have to be to say such things about someone you don't know. like amber said on instagram, she's terribly sorry and we are currently trying to contact google to find out how we can get this FAKE amber stopped. sorry for the trouble, but just so you know, i am one pissed husband. shame on you. and my apologies to you jodi, you seem like a lovely girl and nobody should be the recipient of this kind of internet trolling. this is why i HATE blogs, because there is no accountability.

    1. Hey David,
Gosh, I'm so sorry that it has turned into all this. I just barely saw all the comments. I wasn't aware that this is starting a war. The comments obviously aren't directed at her since she's not even the one who said that nasty comment, but I had no idea it was a fake person until Amber saw the comment on Instagram, and I'm sure neither did anyone else. So I hope neither you nor Amber are offended, because I know it's not her fault whatsoever! I adore Amber's blog and am really glad you guys reported it, because obviously this person has caused a lot of unwanted drama. I feel so bad that Amber kinda has to take the fall for this and I'm sorry it has turned into this! But I assure you, nothing that was said was directed at you or your wife but to this Internet troll who's writing rude, nasty comments on blogs. I'm seriously disgusted with whoever is behind it, and hopefully you guys get everything figured out. Amber is a beautiful girl, and she's lucky to have a husband who sticks up for her the way you did.

  2. oh drama. David, leave the drama and move on with your life. It's obviously a mistake, definitely not Jodi's fault, not Amber's fault. Now that it's resolved, internet wars can end. You can be pissed all you want but in the end, what does it help? Move on.
